Fireworks shops must be located on ground floors with independent entry and emergency exit doors that open outwards for quick evacuation.

Shops are required to install automatic fire detection and alarm systems with at least two dual-type detectors (smoke & heat) linked to the shop owner and nearest fire station.

A minimum open-to-sky clearance of 3 meters from adjacent structures and 50 meters distance from schools, hospitals, and assembly places is mandatory for firecracker shops.
